At The Nest Vocal Studio, we believe that young singers build confidence through creativity, play, and performance. That's why we created Starling's Singing Circle — a 10-week vocal class located in Corning, NY where kids shine as both soloists and teammates.

Why group lessons work so well for young singers
There's something that happens in a group class you can't replicate one-on-one. A student watches a friend pick up the mic and nail a tricky phrase, and thinks, if she can do that, I can too! Every week kids learn by watching their friend work through a challenge.
Group classes also do something incredible for performance nerves. Instead of building toward one big scary recital, tweens get a low-stakes/high-reward performance every week. Over ten weeks, singing in front of peers stops feeling like a big deal.
Better yet, this is backed by research. Studies on group singing for kids show real gains in confidence, social connection, and self-concept — benefits that are slower to reach in a solo lesson. Watching a peer work through a hard note and land it does something one-on-one instruction can't: it makes the goal feel achievable now, not just in theory.

Our singing classes meet in my charming studio in Southside Hill Corning, Mondays 4-4:45pm

Cost is $530 per 10 week session - monthly payment plans are available!

Cohorts are limited to four students per singing class, every voice gets heard — and every session fills fast.

No experience needed! Students of all levels are welcome to attend. So whether they’ve sung in school or church, or they just like to sing in the car – we have a place for them.

Students will pick out songs they love to sing for their Spotlight Solo. From The Greatest Showman to Life of a Showgirl, students pick songs that they connect with and share them with the class. They will also get one to two Song explorations from Full Voice Music per session.

That’s alright! Ms. Ashley is adept to working with shy tweens and has built the class to meet each student where they’re at and help them build the confidence they need to shine!

Not necessary! You’re welcome to drop off your kiddo, run your errands, grab a coffee on Market Street in Corning, NY and come back when class is over! (my favorite is Homestead Bakery, their shortbreads are AMAZING)

The spring session will culminate in a performance for family and friends! Performance opportunities will be held in Corning, NY or Elmira, NY along with The Nest Vocal Studio’s 1:1 singers.
